DJ's Dance Studio
faculty is a wonderful mix of talented teachers who are passionate
about dance. Although this is not everyone who teaches at the
studio, you may be impressed with the biographies we currently
have.

- Deb Jones begin
dancing when she was five years old and since then has known
dance to be a part of her life. She is the Director of DJ's Dance
Studio, one of the three co-founders of the Legacy Tap project
and currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Dance
Council. Ms. Jones holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in General
Art from Boise State University, Boise, Idaho and is currently working
on her graduate degree in dance at Texas Women's
University in Denton, TX. Over time Deb has been
privileged to study under many wonderful teachers
who have cultivated her love for jazz, tap, ballet,
flamenco and Irish Step dancing. She is certified
by the American Tap Dance Institute and has taught
at the community college level. Deb teaches tap,
jazz and ballet at the studio and loves every
minute of it!

- Suzi Blonder grew up in Los Angeles and was fortunate to study with some of the finest dance masters and choreographers of the time. She begin touring with dance companies when she was 14 years old and had a full dance career performing in Las Vegas shows, summer stock, featured soloist in several musical productions and industrials as well as teaching dance by the time she retired to raise her family in 1975. After a long hiatus Suzi rediscovered dance and a new love for tap. She is very proud to be a co-founder, along with Deb Jones and Stacy Gaylan of the Legacy Tap Project. In the past few years Suzi has most enjoyed her choreographic projects for her tap classes at DJ's Dance Studio, the Grapevine Stompers, and the Grapevine Elementary School Choir.

- Stacy Gayan, originally from Lowell, Indiana, graduated from
Southern Methodist University with a BFA in dance. She performed
regionally with the dance group "Showworks" for 10
years and appeared in the movie "American Cowboy".
Dancing since the age of three, Stacy has had the opportunity
to study with several great teacher, including Tommy Sutton,
Jimmy Payne, Robert Reed, Dianne Walker and Gus Giordiono to
name a few. Stacy has taught, coached, and choreographed for
many national award winning students in her 20 years of teaching.
She teaches ballet and pointe for DJ's Dance Studio.

- Anne Hollinger began dancing with Holleman and Howard Dance School in Ft. Worth, Texas when she was three years old. Over the years she focused on ballet and jazz and had the opportunity to perform with several regional dance companies including the North Dakota Ballet Company and the Maria Makilling Dance Company in the Philippines. As a Duke University graduate Ann served a five year tour as an Air Force Intelligence officer, is married and currently raising a family. Anne returned to dance in 1998 and teaches the adult ballet and jazz for DJ's Dance Studio.

Kayla
Kenney grew up in southeast Texas
where she began her love for dance. She has been dancing
for 17 years and has focused on many different styles
of dance (ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, and drill team).
Miss Kenney holds an Associates of Arts degree from Kilgore Junior
College where she was a World Famous Kilgore College Rangerette.
She is now a dance major and getting her teaching certification
at TWU. Kayla has taught many national award winning choreography
for dance studios and drill teams all around Texas.

Holly
Arnold began dancing in her early teens and has taught pre-school dance,
hip hop and currently is the Teacher's Assistant for the Dance Department
at Tarrant County Community College N.W. campus. She
is part of the TCC out-reach touring company known as Mosiac and performs
modern dance professionally with Phase Two Dance Ensemble. Holly
hopes to inspire students and fellow dancers through dance
to follow their dreams! |
