DJ's Dance Studio is based upon the philosophy that dance is simply a lot of fun for people of all ages and abilities.

DJ's Dance Studio is the original headquarters for the Legacy Tap Project, which is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve historical tap choreography through research, education and performance. The Legacy Tap Project has been interviewed by the Dallas Morning News and articles by the Legacy Tap Project have been published in specialized tap journals. Choreography has been performed at tap concerts, at the Dallas Museum of Arts and various festivals, as well as taught at the college level and in the traditional dance studio by dancers who benefit from our endeavors.

The studio is also proud to represent the Grapevine Stompers which is an adult tap group of performers and the D5 Dancers who are upper level high school dancers. Both groups have community and festival presentation opportunities during the performance season. In the past our recitals have been performed at the historic Palace Theater in downtown Grapevine. As our studio has grown, our recitals have taken on a "concert show" type of feel and are very enjoyable. DJ's Dance Studio believes in community service and early each summer takes a modified form of the recital to Cook's Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth for the patients, families and employees to enjoy.

The studio has been at its present location since 2001 and offers a handmade specialized floating maple floor ensuring safety to the knees, hips and back while dancing. DJ's Dance Studio follows the G.C.I.S.D. school calendar regarding holidays and school closures. The studio closes after the May recital and opens again in June for weekly summer dance camps and master classes.
